Birding in Taiwan V

Day 3&4 Snow Mountain (大雪山) 3

a couple more endemic species

a male Collared Bush Robin (Arisanhitakiアリサンヒタキ)

 Steere's Liocichla (Yabudoriヤブドリ)

He decided to sing here:)

 Very colourful on his back
The vivid yellow patches under their eyes are unmistakeable for identification!

White-whiskered Laughingthrush (Taiwan Kimbanegabichoタイワンキンバネガビチョウ)
They are pretty colourful birds but not shy at all! They came out in the open and moved like a mouse or squirrel.

Macaques came close to the road while we were waiting for pheasants.
They just seemed to mind their own business = eat!
